Standardized Operating Procedures for Prospective Homebuyers
New York Real Property Law § 442-H
Gene Rios Realty (“the Broker”) makes these Standardized Operating Procedures available to the public. They apply to every prospective homebuyer and are followed by every licensee affiliated with the Broker. Copies are available on request at our office at 175 Boices Lane, Kingston, NY 12401.
Before receiving services from the Broker, prospective homebuyers:
- Identification: are NOT required to show identification.
- Exclusive buyer agreement: are NOT required to sign an exclusive buyer agreement.
- Mortgage pre-approval or proof of funds: are NOT required to provide a mortgage pre-approval or proof of funds.
A seller or a seller’s agent may separately require identification, a pre-approval or proof of funds before showing a property or accepting an offer. That is the seller’s requirement, not the Broker’s. The Broker applies these procedures in the same way to every prospective homebuyer.
